SwiftLing (free)
- In WordPress, open Plugins › Add New, search for SwiftLing, press Install Now and then Activate. Or upload the plugin’s folder to
/wp-content/plugins/and activate it. - The first setup opens. Continue with the Quick start.
SwiftLing Pro
SwiftLing Pro is a second plugin that needs the free one. It is sold and updated through Freemius.
- Install and activate SwiftLing first.
- Upload SwiftLing Pro (Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin) and activate it.
- Enter your licence, or start the trial. See Licence.
Without a licence SwiftLing Pro starts none of its features. The free plugin keeps working.
Updating
Both plugins update from the Plugins screen. SwiftLing Pro needs a SwiftLing version that has the hooks it uses; keep both up to date.
Removing
Deleting SwiftLing or SwiftLing Pro from the Plugins screen removes nothing: translations and settings stay, and are there again if you install it later. To remove everything, use Settings › General › Start over › Remove everything before you delete the plugin. See General settings.
Your pages, posts and media stay as they are either way.
